Film Making in Mathematics

When our Mathematics Teacher, Sir Julius Reyes announced that our project would be a film where the concept would be about how students will appreciate math in their lives, we got excited in making the film!

Many got the chance to show their talents in acting, creating a good story, being resourceful and having the experience in creating a film on their own.

Many things happened while creating the film. Many were tired, had some misunderstandings and some just enjoyed creating the film.

Everyone gave it their all, many sacrifices were needed like time and power. Disregarding the grade, they just wanted to be proud of how successful the film was.

The film developed camaraderie, unity and most especially, the creative, and imaginative minds of everyone.

The cinemathlaya has finally carried out the film showing on October 8 – 9, 2014. Each film was created by the students of Mr. Julius Reyes with a mathematical content. Surprisingly the results were amazing!

The promotions and ticketing were handled by the marketing department consisting of selected students of Sir Reyes, and we commend them for a job well done on how they managed every student that watched the short films, including some who were stubborn.

Needless to say, the film showing was jam-packed for two consecutive days both for morning and afternoon sessions.

The students who watched the short films have different comments. Some said that it was funny and scary, while others commented that it is worth their every penny.

I have seen the unity of the team. After every session, everyone would do their assigned tasks to accomplish things needed to be done. I can proudly say that we had the best film showing ever.
